Among the various plant protection methods, TIS involves introducing sterilized males to reduce population growth. When should these males be released? How often? Are these releases compatible with other control methods? To answer these questions, we have modeled the population dynamics of D. suzukii in cherry orchards. We will present preliminary results concerning SIT and the simulation platform currently under development as part of the AID DS Cerise project (Towards an integrated and sustainable approach to D. suzukii management for cherry industry).
